On Sunday, 20th December the capital of Ghana’s Volta Region, hosted the much publicized Miss Volta Ghana 2020. The Pageant according to it’s originator, is a springboard to showcase the beauty, culture and history of the Volta and it’s people.
This year’s edition was hosted by celebrated Ghanaian Actress / Compere Selly Galley-Fiawoo, who brought the glitz and glam back to her region of origin. Selly, a voltarian herself, gave the audience a memorable night and brought a piece of Accra’s biggest red carpet glamour with her.
The event was attended by various Paramount Chiefs, Chiefs, Queen Mothers and other royalty. To honor the history of the Ewes and her heritage, Selly appeared on stage in a traditional attire, that showcased the wealth and beauty of Ewe culture.
For her second look, the famed television personality appeared in a red Sima Brew gown, that looked fit for European Royalty. Selly Galley glided in the off-shoulder apparel, as it’s conspicuous tail swept the stage with class.
Overall, Selly Galley brought her passion for the stage, to Ho. Throughout the show, the entertainer pull multiple tricks out of her hat, to keep the guests entertained. From inviting social media sensations Eb Forson and Dacosta on stage, to busting her unique dance moves and leading the excited event-goers to a dance-off, Selly took the stage from 9pm to after 2am and left the crowd wondering how she wasn’t tired.
The show has since received positive reviews, especially for the choice of host.
